The last assignment for my Digital Photography class was to be a self-guided project. Since the same professor taught my undergrad film course and issued the same assignment for that class, I knew it was coming. The timing of the class worked out that I would be at my fianceé’s family’s house the weekend before the due date I decided to go with a rephotography project using portraits. Related to my previous months-long rephotography project in Spain, this would be a spin-off using old family photos and reenacting the scenes with the same people and as many of the same objects as possible. Using my favorite inspiration tool ‘StumbleUpon.com’ I had collected a couple examples of the idea. After studying the methods of these people and brainstorming with Cori’s family, we sifted through their old photos and found some examples that we thought would work. Enjoy!
